Co-creation using Design Thinking
Objectives of this activity:
By the end of this session, participants will have:
practiced the basics of design thinking and prototyping
explain to a colleague how the Design Thinking approach can help a changemaker co-create new solutions with end users, by using the end-user's perspectives as basis for design
discuss how school-based design thinking/social lab bootcamps can help generate dozens of local solutions to local problems
Steps
Step 1 - Prepare prototyping materials (paper, clay, etc) 5 days prior to the activity. Facilitators must review or try implementing the Design Thinking Crash Course on a trial basis to prepare.
Step 2 - Have participants watch the IDEO Shopping Cart and Kids Can videos 2 days before the BL Circle activity
Step 3 - Run the Design Thinking Crash Course Video and do the activities accordingly
